December 17, 2014 - Written By Kristijan Lucic

Today is OnePlus’ anniversary and the company has some news to share with us and promotion to share with us. First of all, the company announced a 10,000mAh portable power source. This Power Bank will be available for purchase early next year in Sild White and Sandstone Black and it will cost you $14.99. If you’d like to check out what this product looks like, check out the gallery down below and in order to find out more about it, visit OnePlus’ official Power Bank website. OnePlus has also announced that their OnePlus One handset is available again without an invite, so if you’d like to get a copy, visit OnePlus’ official website and get it while it’s still available. The company is also offering 11% off on all accessories.

That’s not all though, OnePlus is giving you a chance to win the “One” if you wish the company a happy birthday on their official Vine page. If you’d like to find out more about this contest, follow this link. The most interesting part of today’s OnePlus info is the fact that the company is working on their own ROM. Considering OnePlus and Cyanogen are going their separate ways, CynoagenMod ROM won’t be available on future OnePlus devices, we’ve been speculating what will OnePlus do next. Many have been guessing that they’ll just use Oppo’s ColorOS, but it seems that won’t be the case. OnePlus has announced that they’re working on their own ROM offering and that they’ll provide more details on it early next year. To make things even more interesting, the company is giving you a chance to name the ROM, if they pick your suggestion you can win a trip to Hong Kong and meet the team, as well as received a OnePlus One handset and OnePlus Power Bank. If you’d like to enter the contest, follow this link.

OnePlus sure did have a lot of stuff to share with the world today, but the most interesting part is the new ROM announcement. I hope that OnePlus will be able to come up with a highly-customizable ROM in order to replace CM at least to some extent. I’m somewhat skeptical, but it’ll be interesting to see what will they have to offer next year. If you’d like to check out OnePlus’ anniversary video, take a look below this article. Anyhow, that’s it, let us know if you decided to enter the competition, either of them.
