Meizu: How Much Are You Willing To Pay For A Blue Charm Device? Put Your Vote In

Meizu’s Blue Charm and Blue Charm Note handsets have been leaking like crazy lately. These are supposed to be Meizu’s extremely affordable mid-range handset offerings and if the leaked specs and pricing models are to be believed, these handsets will sell like crazy. More on the specs later, let’s tackle the new info first. Meizu will launch these handsets on December 23rd, the company has already announced that. This Chinese OEM posted something interesting on their official Weibo (Chinese social network) page though, the posted a Blue Charm teaser image and along with that the company asks you how much are you willing to pay for a device. This is not a rhetorical question though, they also allow you to put your vote in, there are three options: 1099, 1199 and 1299 Yuan. This is a rather interesting move by Meizu and this either means we won’t see the 799 and 999 Yuan pricing that was rumored, or perhaps the company is trying to push us in the wrong direction and then shock us when they announce the pricing model for these devices. What do you think?

Meizu’s VP, Li Nan, was also active on his official Weibo page hinting at somewhat higher price as well. I don’t know if you recall, but the said that very same thing in an interview about a week ago, hinting at a 1000+ Yuan price for the Blue Charm handset(s). Anyhow, according to the latest report, Meizu will launch two Blue Charm smartphone on December 23rd, one will sport a 4.6-inch display and the other one will come with a 5.5-inch panel. That, aside from the price, is the only difference between the two devices though. Both of these handsets will sport 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, plus those displays will feature a 1080p full HD resolution. A 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor is expected to power on those device along with Mali T760 GPU which will take care of graphics. 13 and 2-megapixel cameras will ship with the Blue Charm devices and those handset will be available in Blue, White, Orange, Green and Yellow color option, while Pink and Purple colors are also a possibility. LTE connectivity will also be a part of the package and the price is the only unknown factor at this point. We’ve heard so many different rumors and misleading information that… well, who knows.
