ZTE has been in the center of attention lately considering all the rumors regarding the bezelless phone which surround this Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The company is expected to launch Nubia Z9, ZTE’s newest flagship device. We’ve already seen some leaks of this device and if those pan out in the end this could be a really popular handset. I’m getting slightly off-topic here though, we’re here to talk about the another member of the Nubia family, ZTE Nubia X6. This handset was announced back in March and launched in April, so why are we mentioning it then? Well, the handset was involved in many discounts lately and it now got listed on China Mobile at a rather attractive price. You can now get this handset for 1,699 Yuan ($277), the original price of this handset was 2,999 Yuan ($490). I’m talking about a 32GB version of the handset here, there are also a 64GB and a 128GB models out there but I don’t believe those versions are listed with China Mobile at the moment.
ZTE Nubia X6 features a 6.44-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. Here’s the thing, 32 and 64GB of this handset come with 2GB or RAM while the 128GB version features 3GB of RAM. There’s also a slight difference when it comes to processors here, all of the listed version are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chip, though the chip itself has different clock speeds. The one which comes with the 32 and 64GB variants is clocked at 2.3GHz and the one which ships with the 128GB version is clocked at 2.5GHz. It’s kind of confusing, but the only handset you have to pay attention to at the moment is the 32GB version which comes with 2GB of RAM. Both front and rear-facing shooters on this device are the same, 13-megapixel sensors, the one on the back comes with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and dual-LED flash though. ZTE Nubia X6 ships with Android 4.3 JellyBean with ZTE’s very own UI on top of it and it comes with a 4250mAh battery located on the inside.
This phone is truly huge, but it is also the most powerful device in ZTE’s lineup at the moment. If you live in China and are interested in getting one, 1,699 Yuan ($277) price is an incredible deal when it comes to this handset, you’ll hardly find a better deal out there.
