New, Exclusive Moto X With Football Leather Backing on Verizon

One of the great features of Motorola’s Moto X is the ability to customize the device through Moto Maker where you can pick the colors of buttons and even a customized back of leather or a beautiful real wood.  The Moto X was available on Moto Maker and Verizon on September 26 and now, halfway through the NFL season, Verizon is happy to announce that you can now order a new Moto X with a Football Leather backing.  This is an exclusive offer only on Verizon – the new model is available online and even in the stores for $119.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate debit card and a two-year activation.

In years past, before the Moto X and Moto Maker, customizing your device used to mean setting up your wallpaper, choosing your widgets, setting ringtones and organizing your apps on the screens just where you wanted them.  With the arrival of the Moto X and Moto Maker, the user could now (online) select the color of the buttons, the color of the back and even the material that was used to make the back of the device – literally thousands of combinations to choose from.

The new Moto X is a real thing of beauty and now if you are a real football fan, the Football Leather is a great addition to line-up – and what is nice is that you can buy them directly in the store…no need to go on-line.  The new Moto X’s customization doesn’t stop with its outward appearance…you can name your device, like some people name their car.  With its always-on feature, you can have a conversation with your Moto X without ever having to touch the device.  You can create a custom voice prompt to wake it up – “What’s up Moto X?” or “Jeeves” or “Alfred”…you get the picture.  You can ask it questions, have it read off your messages, search Google, post to social media and so much more.

The new Moto X (2014) comes with a 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 423 pixels-per-inch (PPI).  A Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz provides the brains.  The Moto X comes with 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage with no room for expansion.  The camera is a nice 13MP model with auto-focus and a dual-LED Flash ring around the lens.  This is all powered by a 2300mAh battery – great specs and a reasonable price, now with Football Leather on the back.  Just remember not throw it in a spiral across the room.

Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if the Football Leather backing sounds like something you would like…as always, we would love to hear from you.
