Black Friday Deals: Vodafone UK Slash PAYGO And Contract Prices This Weekend

November 28, 2014 - Written By Peter Holden

Black Friday is a relative newcomer to the UK, and has never really caught on properly in previous years, but this feels different. This year, there are reports of police being called to supermarkets to help keep the peace amongst shoppers. More importantly though, the retailers appear to have finally grasped the idea: that the public want good products at good prices. Which brings us to the deals that the UK network provider, Vodafone, is offering, as detailed below.

Let’s deal with the Pay as you go deals first. The star of the show has to be LG’s G2 handset that has been discounted from its RRP of £320 to a more than affordable £150. Yes, the G2 may be almost 18 months old, but it still a very capable handset, with the Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor providing the grunt to make the user experience a slick one. 2GB of Random-Access-Memory is present, and then we have the massive 3,000mAh battery, as well as its fantastic camera. It’s a bargain. If you were looking at spending £150-200 on an Android handset, this is the phone to get.If the LG isn’t quite your cup of tea, you can also buy the HTC Mini 2 for £189, or perhaps the more budget conscious Sony M2 Aqua for £109.

On to the pay monthly deals, and here we have three of the undoubted heavyweights of Android fighting it out. The Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3 and the HTC One M8 all going for £22.50 a month with no upfront charges on a plan that includes 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. It should be noted that the all the pay monthly deals are for handsets on a 24 month plan.

These deals will run from today (November 28th) until Monday December 1st, although it’s probably best not to procrastinate too long as there probably isn’t unlimited stock available.
