Finding a good pair of headphones for listening to your favorite music can sometimes be an exhausting experience, but if you’re an audiophile and you don’t like to compromise on quality than you’re probably no stranger to the search for the perfect pair that can deliver the sound you want, the functionality you need, and the price that you’re looking to spend. This morning, A-Audio announced their brand new set of wireless Bluetooth headphones for premium quality sound, fit, and style called the Icon. The Icon looks good, which is great, but headphones are more about the sound are they not? They should be at least, and that’s where A-Audio takes pride in this particular pair.

The Icon is the first set of Bluetooth wireless headphones to offer users Three-Stage Listening Technology, which offers more choice to the user on how they want to listen to their favorite tunes. Three-Stage Listening has, as it states, three different options for audio profiles as it were, letting users choose between Bass Enhancer, Active Noise Cancellation, or Audio modes for that truly customized sound experience to go along with the customized look and feel. Not all music is the same, some tracks deserve a little more bass, while other might be better suited to allow for cancellation of all or most background noise so you can hear every chord, every lyric, and everything in between. A-Audio draws their inspiration for the Icon from classic automobiles and luxury timepiece craftsmanship, and that comes through with the solid looking build quality and design on the Icon.

The headphones feature chrome plating with aluminum construction and steel hinges for a strong build, along with a discrete panel for controlling your music from the ear cup which includes volume up, volume down, play, pause, answer and end calls, and changing forwards and backwards between tracks. The Icon uses Bluetooth 4.0 technology and has an estimated battery life of 12 hours of playback, but just in case you need some longevity with your music, A-Audio has included a 4 foot long tangle-free audio cable that carries a 24k gold plated contact for the most optimal signal transfer to continue the best quality audio experience. When you plug the audio cable in you won’t have to worry about battery life any longer, as playback will be unlimited until the next time you need to unplug and go wireless.

The headphones come with other cool extras, like the custom fit luxe carrying case, which the Icon fits into nice and neat thanks to its foldable design. They even come with a polishing cloth so you can keep the Icon looking just as good as the day you got them, and you’ll also get a USB charging cable as well as the A/C charger if you don’t have a USB port to plug into. The A-Audio Icon headphones go on sale next month in Liquid Chrome or Matte Black, and they’ll be available on Amazon as well as the A-Audio website for $379.99, which comes with all the extras we mentioned above as well as a two year warranty. They aren’t up for pre-order on Amazon just yet, but you can find the A-Audio A01 and A02 on there which are about $80-$90 cheaper. You can also pre-order the Icon now from the A-Audio website.
