Samsung just announced its new Galaxy Note 4 phablet along with a bunch of other devices at their IFA event. The Galaxy Note 4 is sporting a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz is powering the device, though there is also a model with the Exynos 5 Octa (quad-core 1.9GHz and a quad-core 1.3GHz) chip. The latter one will probably be used in 3G markets. The Galaxy Note 4 also houses a 3220mAh battery, which is there to make sure you don’t run out of juice during the day and Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes on the device out of the box. The Galaxy Note 4 weighs 176 grams.

Alongside its new phablet, Samsung announced a bunch of luxurious accessories. The most expensive one out of the bunch is most definitely the back cover which is coated in Swarovski crystals, this seriously “blings up” the device. No word on how much will it cost just yet, although it will be expensive. As a side note, Samsung already announced their Swarovski partnership as far as their Gear S smartwatch goes. The Swarovski-coated back cover for the Note 4 will be available in silver or gold colors.

Samsung also introduced the “View Cover”, “Flip Wallet”, “S View Wallet” and an “LED Cover”. The last accessory will show you information on the outside of the case, like time, missed calls, incoming calls, etc. Many of you will recall a similar accessory by HTC called the “Dot View Case”. Samsung definitely got the idea from HTC and truth be told I like the look of HTC’s cover more. Samsung didn’t give out much information as far as the functionality of this cover goes though, who knows, maybe it has some special functions which would make it more useful than HTC’s solution. We’ll let you know as soon as we get more information when it comes to this, including pricing. What are your thoughts so far when it comes to Samsung’s new phablet? Do you like the Note 4, how about its accessories? Will you be purchasing any of them?
