“Badger Bob” Johnson was well known amongst players and fans for his enthusiasm and unflappable optimism, and he said it best with his famous catchphrase “It’s a great day for hockey!” It is only a little over 30 days until the puck drops and Rogers is making hockey even more exciting with their revamped Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE by offering up a FREE subscription for their internet customers until December 31. Rogers is turning your smartphones, tablets and PCs into an NHL season pass – they will significantly change the way Canadians watch hockey. Keith Pelley, president, Rogers Media said:
“We talked to fans in local rinks and living rooms across the country and it’s clear, they want access to more of the games and teams that matter to them. We’re bringing fans national games and lifting more local blackouts so they can watch the teams and players they love. We’re also offering the app free to Rogers wireless and Hi-Speed Internet customers until the end of the year. And this is just a warm up – more fan experiences will be revealed before the puck drops.” With Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE you can watch over 1,000 live regular season NHL games – more than 50-percent more than last year. More blackouts have been lifted so you can see more in-market regional and national games. You will now have access to French broadcasts, the Stanley Cup Final, the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, the NHL All Star Game and much more.
Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE App will be available for download in October and access is provided through www.rogers.com/nhl. Like we said earlier, Rogers’ wireless data and Hi-Speed Internet customers will have FREE access until December 31. If you are an NHL fan, but not a Rogers’ customer, you can still subscribe for $199.99 for the full season. Options to subscribe for the French-only package for $59.99 that includes les Canadiens (60 games) and les Sénateurs (54 games) regional games. Oh course, on top of that, remember that standard data charges will apply. Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if you will be subscribing to the Rogers’ hockey package this year…as always, we would love to hear from you.
