Is the New Sony Xperia Z3 Compact On Its Way To Canada By September 30?

If our source is correct, we should see the new Sony Xperia Z3 Compact in Canada by September 30.  When a blogger contacted a Sony Store to ask them about purchasing the device overseas or waiting for the Canadian launch, the store rep told him two things: First that the warranty would NOT be valid in Canada and secondly that it will be available in Canada “before September 30” at the Sony Store.  He would offer no pricing confirmation.

We reported earlier this month that the Sony Xperia Z3 series – Z3 Smartphone, Z3 Tablet and Z3 Compact – would be making their way to Canada later this year.  That is like saying that winter is coming – we know that, but when will that first snow hit!  We have to be cautiously optimistic with this type of information since it came from a sales rep – which are notoriously known for giving incorrect information – and also, it was on a forum.  Another poster claimed they received an email from Sony telling them the Z3 Compact would be released on T-Mobile soon, so hopefully, this information is true and the Xperia Z3 Compact will be showing up soon. The rep told the Canadian questioning him that he would be better off to wait another week for the Canadian release!

The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is truly a little powerhouse – a smaller version of its ‘big brother.’  It sports a 4.6-inch HD IPS LCD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz.  It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card to add additional storage – plenty to store your pictures, music and videos.  The main camera is 20.7MP and a 2.2MP front-facing camera for video chatting and selfies.  It has a 2600mAh non-removable battery and running Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box. It measures 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6mm and weighs in at 129 grams. Please hit us up on our Google + Page and let us know if you are waiting for the Xperia Z3 Compact to arrive in Canada…as always, we would love to hear from you.
