Verizon Posts New Commercial, Claims the HTC One Remix is the HTC One M8

August 20, 2014 - Written By Alexander Maxham

This was just to funny to pass up. But everyone knows that Verizon and HTC announced the new HTC One M8 for Windows yesterday. Which was an exclusive at first, but now AT&T has picked it up. So there’s yet another problem with this ad, as they claim the One M8 for Windows is a Verizon exclusive. But the big issue is the fact that they are showing both the M8’s that they are carrying saying it’s available in both Android and Windows. Which is true, but the false part is that the Android version is actually the HTC One Remix. Which I have here in my hands actually.

For those that don’t know, the HTC One Remix is basically the One Mini 2 which is available in most of the rest of the world. It is a bit smaller than the HTC One M8, but not by much, and we can definitely tell the difference. Kind of surprising that Verizon couldn’t. We may see them pull this commercial soon and fix that issue and reupload it. But maybe not. As I doubt the average consumer would notice the difference. In fact, it even took me a bit to find the difference between the One Remix and the One M8 next to each other like that. Now if I had them both in hand, I would be able to tell.

With that said, Verizon is offering all smartphones on sale right now, so the new HTC One M8 with Windows is going for $99 on a new contract instead of $199. They are also giving new activations an extra gigabyte of data for free. Which is definitely a nice little promo and should bring over some more customers. How many of you are picking up a HTC device from Verizon soon? Let us know in the comments below.
