No matter how you like to play games, there’s certainly no shortage of games to play. Android has risen to become one of the more popular gaming platforms, and this is due to a couple of reasons, being that the popularity of gaming on the go is now more than it has ever been, and because Android is also now the most popular mobile OS among users worldwide. There are games for just about everything, so whether you like to play games that are filled with action and adventure, or prefer to pass the time with something more relaxed and casual you can do it all from your mobile device with ease.
Games are a great way to have fun by yourself, but they can also be a great way to have fun with others, something that has been made even more possible these past couple of years thanks to a growing number of multiplayer games and Google’s own play games services features made available to developers, which allow easy access to challenge friends or seek out other players to put in some quick matches in your favorite game or sit down and have a lengthy session. Games are also becoming more enriched due to the added features in the Play Games app, allowing users to see their “gamer level”, as well as lists of achievements, XP gained from games that support Play Games Services and even quests that players can complete with certain games, all part of the most recent update they had pushed out. As Android continues to grow and technology continues to advance, we’ll continue to see more and more games be made available to people who enjoy being able to pick up their Android smartphone or tablet and play a game whether that at home or not.
Playing games on Android has never been better especially with the amount of capable devices out there equipped to handle games of all kinds. What will be interesting is to see how much Android games are able to close the gap on traditional console or PC gaming as we enter into the new year. Companies like Nvidia keep pushing the envelope of what’s possible when it comes to playing on a mobile device graphically, making games on mobile devices more enticing and exciting. As we become more and more mobile with everything we do, those of us that like to play games could very well see our game time start to shift to phones and tablets taking up the largest percentage of our gaming habits.
