Samsung and Sprint have just Announced the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport

Samsung has another Galaxy S5 variant coming to the US, this time it’s for Sprint. We’re looking at the Galaxy S5 Sport coming to Sprint next month – July 25th for those interested. It has all the same specs as the Galaxy S5 including the 5.1-inch 1920×1080 resolution AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 2800mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat. But it also features IP67 water and dust resistance. It also has all kinds of health and fitness features packed inside. It’ll be available in Electric Blue and Cherry Red on July 25th, exclusively from Sprint. Sprint says it’ll be available for $0 down and $27.09 per month. So about $199 on-contract. It even monitors heart rate before and after activity with a built-in heart-rate monitor. Samsung’s exclusive Activity Zone app is preloaded on Galaxy S 5 Sport offering the ability to open active lifestyle features, including a barometer, compass, flashlight and stopwatch from a single screen.

Galaxy S 5 Sport features a textured body making the smartphone easier to hold and preventing it from slipping from the hand. It features three hard keys so the smartphone is easier to operate when active. The Galaxy S 5 Sport is also IP67 water and dust resistant2 so it can be as active as its user.

Starting July 25 and for a limited time only, customers who purchase Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport will get $50 off Samsung Gear Fit to help achieve health and fitness goals by tracking steps and monitoring heart rate.
