Moto G LTE Comes to Rogers and Fido – on Sale Now!

It was a month ago that we reported that the Moto G LTE would be appearing on Rogers and Fido networks and true to their word, it is here at both carriers.  The Moto G LTE will be available on Rogers for $0 on a two-year contract and off-contract for $224.95, while on Fido, it will set you back $50 on a Standard Plan and $0 on a Smart Plan.

In its brief six-month period, the Moto G has become Motorola’s best selling smartphone in their history!  The device bridges the gap between what was the full-featured phone and the smartphone – for the first time giving buyers a chance to have genuine smartphone features at a reasonable cost.  The Moto G was lacking on two areas – there was no LTE capability and no microSD card slot – both of which are ‘fixed’ on the new Moto G LTE model.  There are already over 150,000 HSPA Moto G’s in Canada, and adding the LTE feature will surely help expand its presence there.  It offers real value for those that simply want a solid device for texting and making phone calls…it is perfect as a first phone for a teenager or older person that is not interested in a bunch of bells and whistles.

The Moto G LTE has a 4.5-inch TFT LCD HD display with a 1280 x 720p resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can now be expanded to 32GB with a microSD card.  The main camera is 5MP with an LED Flash and the front-facing camera is 1.3MP for video chatting and for taking selfies.  All of this is powered by a 2070mAh battery that should give you amazing battery life.  It is running Android 4.4.3 out-of-the-box and it is almost pure stock Android with a very light skin.  The Moto G’s are also coated inside and out to make them water resistant…just an added bonus.

Please hook up with us on our Google+ Page and let us know what you think of the new Moto G LTE version going to Canada – this already popular device should make a big splash in Canada – will you be picking one up…as always, we would love to hear from you.
