SM-G906S Appears on Hong Kong Website, Likely the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime

We’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors about a Galaxy S5 Prime for the past few months. And those rumors are not dying down anytime soon. The Galaxy S5 Prime is supposedly going to be a beefed up version of the Galaxy S5. Now we did see a supposed leak going around yesterday morning of the Galaxy S5 Prime, but that was in fact a mockup which Android Central made first and a “leaker” sent out to various sites. The Galaxy S5 Prime is supposedly going to have a more “premium” build as well, compared to the regular Galaxy S5.

The Galaxy S5 Prime has shown up on a Hong Kong website – and obviously is not announced yet so was taken down rather quickly. But as far as the specs go, we’re looking at a 2560×1440 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB, GSM, HSPA+ and LTE technologies supported, along with Android 4.4.3 KitKat. Which are about the specs we were hoping to see in the Galaxy S5 when it was announced back in February.

We do have to say that a grain of salt is needed with this leak, as it did leak out on a Hong Kong website, it was not a Samsung website. But one of their retail partners. Which they probably do know exactly what’s going on, but just to be sure. The Galaxy S5 Prime sure is turning out to be a really high-end device, which is what we’ve all been looking forward too since we first started hearing rumors about it a few months ago. Now we just have to wait and be patient until Samsung actually announces it. Which will probably be hard to do. Are any of our readers waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime before they upgrade to a new phone?
