Pocket Offers New Subscription Service, Gives you Access to Archives

This morning, Pocket announced a new subscription model that they will be using. The subscription will cost you $5/month, but it’s not needed to use Pocket. They are still keeping the service free, unless you want some premium features. Those features include a permanent content library, suggest tags, and global search. Some pretty neat features, and for $5/month you’re helping the developers put food on the table for their family. If you like the service, I’d suggest that you go ahead and sign up for Pocket Premium anyways, just to support the developers.

According to Pocket here’s what Permanent Library is all about:

“The Web is constantly changing. As you continue to save what’s interesting and what you want to refer to time and time again, it’s important that it’s accessible and available whenever you need it.

Permanent Library automatically stores a copy of the articles and web pages you save. This means the content you care about is safe and always available, even if it changes or is deleted on the Web. From the moment you upgrade to Premium, both new and existing items in your list and Archive become a permanent resource.”

Powerful search allows you to search everything. Not just titles and tags, but also the content in the articles you’ve saved to Pocket. Which is definitely something we can all learn to love. Suggested tags are just what you think it is, and that is where Pocket suggests tags to you to tag your content to make it easier to find. you can sign up for Pocket Premium right now, as we stated earlier it’s just $5/month, and it’s worth it in our opinion.

How many of you are going to sign up for Pocket Premium? I know I will be. Let us know in the comments below.
