Pantech’s Vega Iron 2 Poses for the Camera

Pantech is basically like Samsung and LG’s younger brother. It’s another South Korean manufacturer that’s trying to make a name for themselves in the smartphone industry. They’ve actually released a couple of phones over here in the US on AT&T and Verizon Wireless. But they’ve never released a flagship over here in the US, which quite possibly could be due to the carriers. Since they already have a flagship from HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Apple to sell, there’s not a whole lot of room for another competitor in there. But the Vega Iron 2, is definitely a flagship, and an amazing looking device. Which it leaked out again this morning, and a Korean website has some more information on the specs for this bad boy.

According to Ruliweb, the Pantech Vega Iron 2 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. Which is still a great chip, but it was previously reported that it had a Snapdragon 805. Which we should be seeing in devices in the next month or two. The LG G3 will likely be one of the first to sport that chipset. The smartphone will also be 7.9mm thin, have a 5.3-inch 1920×1080 resolution AMOLED display, and sport 3GB of RAM. All powered by a 3140mAh battery inside, which should keep it going for quite some time.

While the Vega Iron 2 doesn’t have a Snapdragon 805 in there, it looks like Pantech has another flagship that will. Which is the IM-A888S, and it’s said to have a 2560×1440 resolution display as well. Which I still think is overkill, but it definitely will be a sexy display. We don’t have much information on the IM-A888S yet, but as soon as we get it, we’ll be sure to let everyone know! We’ll also be crossing our fingers that Pantech can bring these two devices over here into the US.
