LG G3 Heading to Verizon this Summer, with XLTE Support!

May 27, 2014 - Written By Alexander Maxham

We’ve already heard from Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T about the LG G3 launching on their networks this summer. Now we’re hearing from Verizon that they are also launching the LG G3 this summer. Not that, that is a surprise. So far there’s no pricing or release date information just yet. But Verizon did state that the LG G3 will be compatible with their new XLTE network, which brings some pretty great speeds. On the LG Lucid 3 I’m reviewing right now I’ve been getting around 50-70mbps on XLTE, which is pretty sweet.

The one thing everyone is probably wondering, is if the LG G3 on Verizon looks the same as the other carriers. And the answer is yes. As you can see from the image above, we’ve got two Verizon logos. One on the front at the top, and another on the back below the volume rocker and power button. So we won’t see separate cases for the LG G3 this time for Verizon. Which is one less headache around here.

We think that the LG G3 is launching in June on most carriers and in most countries. But as we know from the carriers here in the US, they basically launch it whenever they want. As always, we’ll be sure to let you know when the device is available for pre-orders and for purchase. As far as specs go, the LG G3 has a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 QHD display, 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage or 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot, 3000mAh battery that is removable, and a 13MP camera on the back with OIS+ and Laser AutoFocus. We also have Android 4.4 KitKat on board here.

How many of you on Verizon are interested in the LG G3? Let us know in the comments below.
