HTC One (M8) Leaks, Shows Itself Off in Light Pink

HTC is selling a ton of One (M8) devices, but they aren’t done yet. We’ve heard from @evleaks that the One (M8) would be coming in some additional colors, and now we’re getting a look at the smartphone in a lovely shade of pale pink. The phone is already available in silver, gold, and gun metal grey, so we can add this pink version to the arsenal. At least, we’ll be able to when this new version becomes available at some point in the future.

HTC is apparently close to releasing a blue and red version of the device as well. We don’t know where or when these new colors will be released. There are some hints though, one in particular. If you take a close look at the weather widget on this pink One (M8), the location listed is Singapore. Nothing is set in stone, but that seems to hint that the device could be released in Asia soon.

HTC obviously thinks consumers want more options for their devices, and I think they’re right. Samsung tends to release multiple color options for their flagship devices. Motorola took the customization game a step further with, and now HTC is kicking out at least this pink version of their hot-selling new flagship phone.

This new pink HTC One (M8) is a subdued shade of pink, and the color wraps the whole device. I’m personally not going to run out and buy a pink phone, but this version looks better to me than the gold variant of the One (M8). It’s a safe bet to say it won’t be available in time for Mother’s Day, so if your mom is clamoring for a pink phone you’ll need to look elsewhere. We may not even see this version make its way to U.S. shores.

The company recently reported their Q1 2014 results, and while they did report a net loss for the quarter, their earnings were trending upwards and they are expecting to be back in the green by the end of Q2. With the Galaxy S5 seeing lukewarm reviews and the One (M8) surprising some folks with how good it is, things could finally be looking up for HTC.
