HTC Introduces HTC Fetch App For Use With It’s Fetch Key Chain Phone Tracker

We’ve all been there. That moment where you unfortunately left the house, work, or where ever else but forgot to grab your phone before you rushed out the door. It can be all too easy to forget important things like your keys, your wallet, and your phone, but your phone is as equally important as the other two. For most of us, it’s our lifeline. Our connection to the world. It has all our notes, all our contacts, our messages, pictures, music, games, apps, and just about everything else we might need while away from home and on the go. The good thing is that there are tools to help you remember before you leave, so you’re never stuck without the important data that you need or want. HTC is one such manufacturer that provides one of these tools called the Fetch, which is basically a little Bluetooth connectable device that will alert you if you move too far away from your phone. But what if you forget the Fetch you ask? Well the Fetch attaches to your keychain, so you should be OK and it should function as it’s intended as long as you remember your keys. Past that, we can’t help you.

You would think that such a device from a manufacturer would only work with smartphones that they produce, and that might have been the case with the Fetch prior to today. However, HTC has launched a Fetch app in the Play Store that is live and available for download as of now, and it works with HTC devices as well as a decent amount of smartphones that are from other OEMs. The one caveat is that your device has to support Bluetooth 4.0 for this setup to work. If you fit into that bill you can download the app and buy yourself a Fetch key chain device for about $30 from HTC themselves, or you can pick it from Amazon for as low as $25.70. That’s the lowest we’ve seen anyway. If you seem to have a habit of forgetting your phone when you leave, we’d definitely recommend giving this device and app a look and suggest you consider picking one up. Speaking from experience in forgetting their device at home, having a device remind you when you’re about to leave without it is a definite must have, especially if you’re planning on picking up a new HTC One M8. You wouldn’t want to forget that now would you?
