Chris Lacy Launches Action Launcher 2.0, and Includes a Free Versions

December 4, 2013 - Written By Alexander Maxham

Action Launcher isn’t the newest launcher, but it is a pretty good one. In fact, whenever I’m not using the stock launcher, I’m using Action Launcher. It’s just that good. With version 2.0, Chris Lacy has brought in quite a bit of new features which include the Quickdrawer, Covers, Shutters, Quicksearch and Quickpage. It’s now out of beta and available for everyone to use. Which you can see in the video down below.

Before version 2.0, there was only one option, which was to pay $3.99 for the launcher. Now that’s kind of expensive for a launcher, especially one that doesn’t have a free version to see if you want to get and use it. But now you can get the launcher for free and pay to unlock the “Pro” features. Now for those that already purchased Action Launcher, you’ll be directed to download the latest version and you’ll get the pro unlock key as well.

Additionally, to celebrate the release, the Pro version will be on sale for 50% off. So you’ll be able to grab the pro features of Action Launcher for just $1.99. Which is a pretty good price for this launcher. If you haven’t used Action Launcher yet, you may want to give it a try. I still think it’s the best launcher out there, followed by Nova launcher. But then again I’m also still running the stock launcher on the Nexus 5.

You can grab the latest version of Action Launcher here, and if you’re interested there is also the beta community over on Google+ so you can beta test Action Launcher. And those that are interested in more information about the update, feel free to check out +Chris Lacy’s post on Google+.

How many of you are using Action Launcher 2.0 right now? What do you think about the update? Let us know in the comments below.
