This guide is our big guide. These are many big ticket items, but we also have gift guides for gifts under $25, under $50, under $100, and under $250. So you’ll want to check those out too.

10. Chromecast

We’ve talked a lot about the Chromecast. It’s by far our favorite streaming media player, and the price is perfect as well. It’s a $35 answer to Google TV. You can stream movies from Google Play Movies, Netflix, HBO Go, YouTub, and Hulu Plus, with more apps on the way. You can also stream music from Pandora and Google Play Music.

This speaker from JBL is a pretty nice wireless speaker. It’s got a 6000mAh rechargeable battery inside which provides 12 hours or more or playback. It can also stream music or audio straight from any Bluetooth device, as well as charge your device on the go. It’s just $150.

8. Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The Galaxy Note 3 is one of the best phones of the year. Although I’ve said that about just about every flagship I’ve reviewed this year, which should tell you we’ve got a great selection of phones to choose from this year. The Galaxy Note 3 is available on all the carriers and is also featuring a 5.7-inch display, 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 800 processor. It’s a beast.

7. Sonos PLAY: 1 Compact Wireless Speaker

I’ve heard a lot about Sonos and how easy it is to set it up and reconnect afterwards. As well as how great the sound is. This SONOS PLAY: 1 delivers deep, crystal clear HiFi sound without any dropouts at all. It’s humidity resistant so it can operate flawlessly in the bathroom, for those that like to sing in the shower.

6. Motorola Moto X

The Moto X is a great device too, it’s probably one of my favorites. It’s right up there with the Nexus 5 and Galaxy Note 3. The Moto X is available on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon for $0.01 right now, so you’ll want to check that out. The Moto X also features Active Display, which is the best feature I’ve seen on a phone in quite a while.

5. MOGA Pro Power Controller

Since I’ve gotten the MOGA controllers to review a few months ago, I’ve had a hard time playing games on my phone or tablet without a controller. And I find myself only playing games that support the controller. The MOGA Pro Power controller is probably the best controller out there, in my opinion, and it can charge your phone while you are playing!

4. Google Nexus 5

C’mon, you had to know this would be on our list. The Nexus 5 is the best unlocked smartphone you can buy, right now. It’s $350 unlocked for the 16GB and $400 unlocked for the 32GB version. It also comes with Android 4.4 – KitKat and has amazing specs, like a 4.9-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 2300mAh battery.

3. NVIDIA Shield

For those hard-core gamers out there, this is a no brainer. The NVIDIA Shield is $300 and has a quad-core Tegra 4 processor inside along with a 5-inch display. It can play Android games as well as stream Steam games on your home network. It’s a pretty great product in my opinion.

2. Google Nexus 7

The best 7-inch tablet out there. If you’re one that doesn’t want a 10-inch tablet or think it’s too big, this is probably the best tablet you can buy. Not to mention it’s only $239 right now for the 32GB model. The Nexus 7 comes with a 7-inch 1920×1200 resolution display, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Oh and it runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

1. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition

You may be surprised to see this as #1 on our list. But I feel that this is the best 10-inch tablet out there. Especially since Google hasn’t announced the new Nexus 10 yet. The Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition has a 10.1-inch 2560×1600 resolution display, which means it’s got a very sharp display, as well as running the Exynos 5420 octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM.
