Custom ROM of the Week: BeanStalk for the Samsung Galaxy S4

September 19, 2013 - Written By Alexander Maxham

Yep, we’re bringing it back. Earlier this year we started a feature where we promoted or talked/wrote about a custom ROM. Of course, it’s not one of the major ones we’ve all heard of like CyanogenMod or Paranoid Android. But one of the smaller ones. One that’s only available for a device or two. Well now, we’re back. Earlier tonight we published our Top 10 Custom ROMs for the Galaxy S4 for the Fall of 2013. And now here we are with a custom ROM for the Galaxy S4. This one’s a good one too. I’ve heard a lot of good things from our readers about this one, so I thought I’d highlight it this week.

The only known bugs on BeanStalk are from CyanogenMod, which is kind of expected. You’d flash this one just like any other ROM. Download both the ROM and Gapps. Then Reboot into recovery, wipe data, cache, then flash the ROM and then Gapps, and reboot. It’s just that easy. You can find out more from the XDA thread here.

If you know of a ROM you’d like to see featured here on Android Headlines, feel free to leave it in the comments below. We love community submissions!
