It’s time to take a look at another portable battery. This one is from Powerocks, and is a rather small one compared to the 9000mAh battery I reviewed not to long ago from them. It’s capacity is only about 2800mAh anyways. They come in a variety of colors from Black to Blue to Purple to Red and more. It has a microUSB port to charge it and a USB port to charge your phone or tablet off of it.

The Magicstick doesn’t have a whole lot of power. It was only able to charge my Nexus 4 once, which has a 2100mAh battery inside. It wasn’t able to finish charging up the Galaxy S4 which has a 2600mAh battery. On the bright side, it’s small and compact. So it’ll fit in your pocket for those days when you’re playing Ingress all day long. It also comes with a small white pouch that you can store the battery in. Additionally, it only takes about 2 hours to fully charge.

If you’re looking for a rather cheap portable battery, then this is probably the best choice. Even though it doesn’t give you a ton of juice, it’s certainly better than nothing. You can grab the Magicstick from Powerocks website for about $50 now, and it’s available in Silver, Black, Blue, Purple, and Red. Check out their website for many other portable batteries as well. We have one more that we’ll be reviewing soon.
