Dish Anywhere Gets Updated

Today, Dish Network updated their Dish Anywhere app. It’s one of their couple of Android apps. It doesn’t seem to get much love, and if you check out their app on the web version of Google Play, you’ll see what I mean. Here’s the changelog from Google Play

galaxy s3 new

The long awaited, Galaxy S3 with 4G LTE on T-Mobile is getting ready to launch. Latest news is speculating that the device will launch on June 5th. With the only change being that it now supports T-Mobile’s very young 4G LTE network. Which should be launching in more cities this month and through out the summer.

CyanogenMod Hits Xperia Tablet Z

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just been treated with a CyanogenMod 10.1 release Candidate. What’s interesting here is that, Sony has already released AOSP for the Xperia Z and the Xperia Tablet Z. So it shouldn’t have been too hard for Steve Kondik and crew.

Field Trip App Giving Admission to 13 Museums

The other app from Niantic Labs, Field Trip is doing something rather cool. It’s giving our free admission to 13 different museums throughout the US.

Thanks for covering the news, Alexander. I have to check out Cyanogen at some point. As for the S3, I went with an EVO LTE instead. The big news of the day for me is the app update; I heard all about it when I got to my office at DISH on Monday. The live TV and DVR streaming made DISH Anywhere my favorite app, but the addition of on demand made it even better. I use it all the time, like when I go fishing, and now I have even more to watch in between bites.
