Think there’s enough digital coupon services out there? Google didn’t think there were enough, and they think they can do better. They announced Zavers, their new “digital coupon solution”. Google is claiming that it takes on all discounts and deals which allows companies to measure their customers habits and coupon usage stats to better target those campaigns they will be running.

Now what does this mean for shoppers? Well you’ll be able to find the coupons relevant to you on specific retailer websites and add them to an online account. Once you go to checkout with your full basket, these discounts will be automatically accounted for. Retailers can see first hand how Zavers will work by visiting their demonstration booth at the annual NRF Convention & Expo, which takes place January 14-15. They’ll be at booth #2281. Google also has Zavers integrated with Google Wallet. But that is as long as you pay for items in-store. So far we have no clue how this is going to work out yet. But we also have to wait for them to get Zavers up and running properly. Hopefully that won’t be to long of a wait.
Zavers sounds like a great idea, and having it integrated with Google Wallet will make it so much simpler than the other digital coupon services around. The only thing is getting Zavers to take off. We’re hoping it will, so everyone can take advantage of this service. It sounds pretty great, and we’ll just have to wait for Google to get it setup everywhere so we can see how well or not so well it’ll work.
