AH Show #23 Crazy Show – Xperia Tablet Z, HTC M7, Motorola X Phone, Galaxy Note 8.0 and More!

January 22, 2013 - Written By Tom Dawson

One of our most exciting shows yet, we slammed some rumors and took no hostages! Boy, did we have a lot to talk about this week! It’s getting very close to MWC and with that the rumor mill is cranking at full speed and the busy season is official open! This week we had a little shake up in our crew and myself – Tom Dawson, Chris Yackulic and for the first time in a long time we’re joined by Randy Arrowood! We had quite a mix of guests tonight and things got a little rowdy but, here at Android Headlines, we like to keep things real – whether the cameras are rolling or not.

With the rumor mill cranking out at full pace we had a lot to talk about concerning the Galaxy S IV, a new Note 8.0 tablet and the mysterious Motorola “X” phone. Samsung seem to have a problem with their pipes right about now and it looks like they could benefit from having a plumber come and take a look at things. Nevertheless, the Note 8.0″ is shaping up to be a very real device and it looks like it’s going to be Samsung’s competitor to Apple’s iPad Mini, pricing is going to be important as they’ll need slip in between the Nexus 7 and the iPad Mini. Motorola’s “X” Phone continues to pop in rumors and it continues to be a controversial device – and there’s nothing confirmed yet!

Then there’s HTC and the “M7” a device that seems to be a close cousin – ie identical – to the Droid DNA and the J Butterfly. Supposedly this is their entry into the 1080p game globally and not just in the U.S and Asia like the Butterfly and the Droid DNA. Some leaked shots of Sense 5 appear to be doing the rounds as well. Tune in to see what we had to say about it!

Back in the real world of confirmed devices and rumorless news, we found some time to talk about Sony’s wafer-thin tablet the Xperia Tablet Z and we touched on some of the problems with the Nexus 4 supply issues and how Google could and should have held pre-orders before other device went live to gauge demand for their latest flagship device.

If you didn’t catch us the first time around, be sure to tune in and watch the Hangout, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We’ll be back same time next week!
