What a great year for Android! Now that the end of the year is coming, all the companies are getting their “Best of” list ready. One notably is PC Mag’s Best of 2012 List, which this year shows Android some love.

First up is the Nexus 7, Google’s flagship 7″ Android Tablet. PC Mag awarded it best 7″ Tablet of 2012. Which as a Nexus 7 user I can say that its well deserved. PC Mag says,

Google’s 7-inch tablet is an amazing value at $199, with a slim, elegant design, a fast processor, the latest Android OS, and a wider variety of available apps than competing 7-inch tablets. It’s more powerful, more flexible, and more affordable than any other tablet in its class.

They also named the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone of the year, tying the iPhone 5 for first place. While the Samsung Galaxy S3 selling over 30 million units its pretty understandable why this made it to the top. PC Mag is quoted saying,

Apple’s new phone ties with Samsung’s flagship as the best smartphones in America. Apple wins on body design and app selection, while Samsung’s phone has better GPS performance, better voice quality, and more user-configurable options.

While iOS 6 took the best OS of 2012, PC mag actually says they like 4.1 Jellybean better, however it due to limited phones running it, they awarded the OS to iOS 6 as its more widely used. However, they did go on saying that,

Apple’s beautiful mobile OS does it again—although it was really close. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is more customizable and just as responsive; its Google Now feature is more capable than Siri; and Google Maps Navigation blows away Apple Maps. But it’s almost impossible to get Jelly Bean.
