Who thought we were done with new devices this week? We’re never done. Today LG and Verizon announced the successor to the LG Spectrum, the Spectrum 2. On paper this device has some pretty nice spec’s especially for the price. The Spectrum 2 will be available online starting today! It’ll set you back about $99 with a new 2-year contract. Now onto the specs:

  • 4.7-inch (1280 x 720) True HD Advanced AH IPS display
  • dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait processor
  • 16GB internal storage
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • microSD card slot
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
  • 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 2150 mAh battery
  • Wireless charging courtesy of the included battery cover

The LG Spectrum 2 will come with NFC and feature a few LG Tag+ stickers which are programmable. So let’s recap this. A beautiful 4.7″ display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and a beefy 2150mAh battery all for $99? For a mid-range device this is an awesome steal from Verizon, which it’s hard to get steals from that carrier.
