Featured:Details about the HTC DLX surface, possibly the 5-inch device rumored for Verizon?

October 8, 2012 - Written By Alexander Maxham

Long time insider for many HTC devices and a few Samsung, Football, has shared some interesting details on his Twitter account about the HTC DLX. Now the specs match up a little bit with the rumored specs for the HTC Droid Incredible X (4G LTE?) that would hit Verizon of course because of the Droid branding. So this could be the device that is supposedly heading to Verizon this fall.

According to Football, these are the specs for the HTC DLX:

  • 5-inch “full HD” device
  • Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz (guessing dual-core if it’s for the US)
  • 2500mAh battery
  • 12MP rear-camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera
  • launching on Android 4.1.2

The crazy thing there is Android 4.1.2. So far we’ve only gotten to Android 4.1.1, and according to server logs at many Android sites, Android 4.2 is already on some devices that are probably in a testing phase. So Android 4.1.2 may never come. But we’ll see.

We can’t confirm this one, but Football does have a good track record in the Android rumor mill, so this could possibly be true. And not the rumors we say last week. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this.
