Featured: Firefox 16 For Android Brings Loads Of New Features

As my Mom likes to call it, “Foxfire”, has received quite a few new features in the latest version for Android, 16. With the likes of Opera Mobile, Dolphin Browser, and Chrome, it’s getting more and more difficult to compete in the mobile marketplace for attention and use.

However, Firefox continues to keep things moving along and offering a solid experience to users. One such feature is called Reader Mode which allows someone to better enjoy the content on a page by clicking a book icon next to the URL. It removes various distractions so you can get in and then get out.

Another improvement is to the Share menu which now has more options and is easier to use. While apps such as Feedly and Flipboard are primarily for consuming the content that interests you most, that doesn’t mean you don’t want to be able to better share content that you discover while surfing in Firefox. You can now send tabs to your desktop thanks to the Sync feature.

Among the other features were additions such as preventing the opening of malicious URLs, various performance improvements and enhancements, and even stability improvements for the lonely Kyocera Echo.

If you’re phone hasn’t got the update to Firefox 16 yet, you should get it here soon, or you can get it right away by going to the Play Store.
