SteelSeries is a prominent figure in the gaming world and there are not many to rival their design and quality when it comes to gaming peripherals. SteelSeries has always delivered the best gaming peripherals for PCs and Consoles alike. Well, Today they have announced the new addition to their controllers, SteelSeries Free Bluetooth controller that is compatible with Android as well. There are also ways to connect your Xbox 360 or PS3 controllers to Android devices such as Nexus 7 but a dedicated controller beats them all.

The SteelSeries Free is a universal controller, compatible with almost all platforms including PC, Mac, iOS, etc. So, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a controller to game on all these devices without changing or getting used to a totally different controller every time. According to the company, this controller will provide you with over 10 hours of non-stop gaming action and will last for more than 20 hours with casual gaming. If the battery runs out at anytime, no need to panic as the controller also features Play-as-You-Charge function. The controller keys are pretty similar to a PS3 controller minus the extra shoulder buttons.

Certain games that offer native controller support like Riptide GP, Dead Trigger, ShadowGun, GTA 3, etc will work flawlessly with this controller and other games that support ZeeMote mapping will work as well. SteelSeries is working on its own native app engine for the controller to map the keys according to your needs for specific games. Check out the quick hands-on of the controller below. There are no words on the pricing yet but we’re sure that it will be budget-friendly.
