Featured: Sprint Will Give Away Free Extended Batteries To Galaxy Nexus Owners

August 15, 2012 - Written By Dilawer Soomro

If you own a Galaxy Nexus (Like me) then you do know that the battery life of Google’s flagship phone is not as awesome as the latest Galaxy S3 or the mighty Razr MAXX. This doesn’t mean that the battery sucks although you have to be careful with battery consuming apps to make sure the battery at least lasts for a whole day. If you want your Galaxy Nexus to give you at least two days of fair usage then an extended battery would do, it will set you back nearly $40-50 unless your carrier plans to offer it for free. Well, Sprint is planning something similar.

Recent leaked screenshots from Sprints secret memo clearly detail an upcoming special gift for all GAlaxy Nexus users on the network. All Galaxy Nexus owners, current and future will get a free extended battery without paying a single dime, and there’s no catch. The free extended battery giveaway will start from 19th August and there are no Terms & conditions. You can check out the pic below for more details. (Courtesy of OMGDROID)

Another thing to note is that the deal will only last as long as the supplies do, so you better get your game on and sure one for yourself before they go all out of stock. You can only order the battery through Sprint’s website or through Telesales.

This is what all carriers should do, start giving away free stuff to their loyal users. Maybe this free offer will lure in more customers for the Network, so it’s a Win-Win for both customer and Sprint.
