There are various launchers on the market from Nova to Go and many others. One launcher that is set to change things up a bit which is Chameleon, a new generation launcher that brings some very nice features and functionality to tablets. If you’re a big Android fan, chances are you saw their Kickstarter a while back asking for $50,000 to help fund the whole project.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the team member who’s Amazon Payments account was tied to the Kickstarter, left the company and therefore they had to completely can the whole project. While that set them back a little bit, they started up a new campaign and have been successful with raising over $66,000 this time around. The team announced that Chameleon will be launching faster than expected with a beta version hitting the Play Store the first week of August, just a couple weeks away.
What is Chameleon? Aside from being a launcher for tablets, it helps you better organize information that matters to you, right on the home screen. Is completely customizable and can even know when you’re say at work and what screen/information to present to you. All in all, it looks to be a very cool product that is sure to enhance the overall experience with a tablet.
Best of all, they said it’s already working with the Nexus 7 which is sure to be great news for those who are just now getting theirs or will be very soon. Here’s a video below with Chameleon running on the Nexus 7:
