Anyone out there rocking the Motorola Defy on 2.1 ‰clair? Have you been dying to get your device updated? Wait no longer you will be pleased, no jumping for joy to know that the O.T.A. (Over the Air) update to official 2.2.1 Froyo is here. T-mobile and Motorola have teamed up to get your rugged gadget some new gear; mind you it is still skinned with Motoblur.

You can expect some distinct changes to the OS:

  • Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • Speed & Overall  Performance Enhancement
  • Supports Adobe Flash
  • Some Motorola additions as well

All Defy owners should be receiving the O.T.A. as you read if you haven’t you can go right now and check under settings>system updates>then click download. This isn’t the most recent flavor of the OS (Gingerbread 2.3.3) but it is a substantial upgrade from ‰clair, especially since a number of apps have required Froyo as the minimum requirements. By now I’m sure you’ve checked If you received the update, if not what are you waiting for?
