It’s Going To Taste So Good, LG Optimus One To Get Gingerbread In Spring?

March 20, 2011 - Written By Daniel Reading

Since Google released Gingerbread the race has been on for phone makers to provide the update to their range of phones for their consumers delight. Thanks to one inquisitive fan it looks like the LG Optimus One could well see a Spring update to Google’s latest and greatest.

Time To Party?

Announcing to one fan on your Facebook page about a previously unknown release date does seem strange but any leak from an official source is a good one. Besides, is it any less reliable than a leaked ‘presentation’ or ‘inventory page’?

Successful

The phone has proved to be a very popular budget smartphone since it’s release. With a 600 MHz processor and 3.2in touchscreen its hardly an Atrix/Optimus 2X competitor but as Virgin have shown with their version the LG Optimus V, if you offer a Smartphone at a low enough price point than people will come.

Any readers who have a Optimus One (V) hit the comments and tell us about your experience with the phone and whether or not you are looking forward to a possible Gingerbread release.
