HTC Wildfire S Announced — Shipping With Android 2.4

At the Mobile World Congress HTC announced that they will be releasing the HTC Wildfire S, the successor to the HTC Wildfire. The phone’s screen has been updated from a QVGA to a HVGA style screen. It will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7227 600MHz chip with 512MB of RAM. A 5 MP rear facing camera will also be equipped to the device. The big story about this phone is that it will be running Android 2.4, with a release in “Late Q2″.
