Android OS up to 43% of the market in last six months.

The new Nielsen reports are out and show the continued growth of Android OS, swelling to a total of 27% of the total smartphone market.  Apple iPhone OS fell to 28% of the current smartphone market and RIM Blackberry OS has risen to 27% as well.

If this growth rate continues Android OS will be set to overtake a the majority by late Q3, and with a slew of new, and much more advanced, Android devices flooding multiple carriers over the next few months it may be sooner than that.

All of this coupled with the 4G war being waged by ALL major US carriers, sets us up for a very exciting year and even more exciting ways to connect, play, and share with the ones we love.
