OTA Update for Verizon Droid Pro

December 24, 2010 - Written By Chris Yackulic

Verizon is releasing an OTA update (2.26.60) for all Motorola Droid Pro users. Now, it isn’t Gingerbread but it still delivers some nice bug fixes and helps this Blackberry killer be even better.  The update is going to include the following,

  1. Improved audio on voice calls
  2. Improved performance and stability
  3. User interface display now refreshes when user switches from GSM/UMTS communication to Global Mode.
  4. Device now prepends 011 to Country Code to send SMS messages
  5. Global Mode no longer resets when connecting to a USB charger
  6. Visual Voice Mail now detects Airplane Mode while Wi-Fi is active
  7. Prompt return to full screen brightness after wake up

Now everyone who is on Verizon knows sometimes these updates are slowly released so if you want to do it yourself it’s just a few clicks away. Just go to Settings > About Phone > System Update and you are on your way!
