GEICO Insurance Glovebox App Now Available In The Market

For all Android users who also carry GEICO insurance cards in their vehicle, this should be some pretty cool news to you. As you can tell by the screenshot from my phone, GEICO has not left much out when it comes to providing quick assistance should you ever find yourself in an auto-accident, or on the side of the road with a flat tire.

Just playing around with it on my phone this morning, I can see the  “Accident Helper” being an all around great tool for fender-benders. The application leads you through some questions to ensure no one was hurt, gives helpful tips on how to handle the situation, and one-touch buttons to call the police, 411 information, or GEICO for a tow. Then you can use your GEICO app to collect information about the accident such as photos, all vehicles involved, witnesses to the accident, and police report information.

The “Roadside Service” selection gives you quick access to GEICO’s roadside service number, as well as GPS tracking to help you find nearby gas stations and tow truck numbers. Other features of the Insurance app are a few “How To’s” like changing a tire, and jump starting a vehicle, and some of their sometimes hilarious comercials.

If you are a GEICO customer this app is definitely for you, considering it doesn’t cost anything to download anyhow. If you aren’t a customer, there is a handy option at the top of the app to get an insurance quote. Download from the market by scanning below.
