No sign of Verizon letting up on it’s ad campaign promoting the Motorola Droid X. They continue with their “Robo Zombie assimilation of the human race” TV spot convincing us that resistance is in fact futile. Verizon / Motorola started marketing the popular superphone through it’s Droid Landing twitter account. Embedding the twitter address in the reflection of a droid eye, users received cryptic clues as to the location of 20 Droid X phones released into the wild. At the end of the count down, google map coordinates were posted and eager participants flocked to the location. Verizon’s advertising campaign has been anything but uneventful. Creative advertising is a must these days when going up against the Apple marketing juggernaut.
