I found this information on the Android Developer website. The pie graph shows that Android 2.1 is on 55% of the Android phones out there, Donut, or 1.6, is taking up 22.1% and 1.5 (Cupcake) is on 18.9% of Android devices. Froyo (Android 2.2) is taking up only 3.3%. The latest update shifted the numbers around and I know users of more recent released Android smart phones are hoping their phone gets updated to Froyo soon.
